God's plan is usually different than our own.

We took off from Reagan National Airport in Washington DC today at 6am.  Things were going according to plan until they told us that JFK in New York was fogged in.  We had to land at La Guardia and shuttle over to JFK.  After some anxious moments we just made it to JFK and got to our gate.  Thanks be to God!

After we got on our plane and got ready to go, they came over the loud speaker and said they were having "Mechanical Difficulties".  After about 45 minutes of waiting on the plane they decided we would need a new plane to fly to Haiti.  That one won't take off until 1pm which puts us 2 hours late in Haiti which means we will probably have to stay the night in Port au Prince.

All of this was not according to our plan but it is according to God's plan.  Mission's trips rarely follow our plans but they always follow God's plan.  The key is to remain patient and flexible and try to see where God's hand is at work.  We have made some great relationships with other travelers and other missionaries headed to Haiti.  This would not have been possible if things had gone according to our plan!

Who knows what other blessing God will bring us through our "failed" plans!
